FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Associate will engage in a variety of tasks tailored to daily requirements, ensuring that participants, members, and guests receive an exceptional experience in all aspects of their visit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Guarantee the availability of necessary equipment for events and ensure the proper arrangement of all activity areas.
  • Ensure timely commencement of events and accurate scoring.
  • Supervise all activity zones, including fields and courts.
  • Manage waste disposal throughout the facility.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of restrooms across the venue.
  • Maintain consistent communication regarding issues and updates with supervisors and team members.
  • Assist in coordinating all programs and events.
  • Support other departments as required.
  • Complete special projects, daily tasks, and other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Welcome guests and provide necessary information and directions.
  • Deliver courteous and friendly service to all visitors and staff.
  • Stay informed about pricing, leagues, and events.
  • Address all incidents, accidents, injuries, and disputes, completing necessary documentation.
  • Understand and enforce facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assume shift-lead responsibilities as earned based on merit and experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the sports or recreation sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
  • Experience with operating electronic scoreboards.
  • Background in coaching or mentoring athletes or youth.
  • Proven track record as a valuable team member.
  • Familiarity with sports such as hockey and figure skating.
  • Experience in customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and action-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work with diverse age groups.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Respectful and friendly demeanor towards athletes, guests, and team members.
  • Valid driver's license for applicable positions.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Initiative-driven for the betterment of the team and facility.

  • Interest in sports or willingness to learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at waist height.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing, both indoors and outdoors, and performing physical tasks.
  • Exposure to intermittent noise levels.
  • Competence in operating a computer.
  • Ability to walk intermittently.
  • Capability to safely operate a utility vehicle.
