Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to lead and enhance the maintenance division in accordance with the operational goals of the facility. The position emphasizes the optimization of equipment reliability to ensure safe and high-quality production, while also minimizing downtime and maximizing technician productivity. Furthermore, the role involves contributing to policy decisions, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement projects as a member of the Plant Leadership Team.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Safety - Formulate and execute plant safety systems in adherence to OSHA and global safety regulations. Oversee fire and security systems and perform risk assessments as necessary.
  • Management - Directly supervise the maintenance team, prioritize requirements, and establish standard operating procedures. Provide coaching, training, and disciplinary measures when required.
  • Problem Solving - Employ Root Cause Analysis to systematically identify and resolve issues. Develop strategies to enhance plant and equipment performance.
  • CMMS - Enhance plant operations through effective management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Facilitate maintenance planning and training on work order processes.
  • Training - Evaluate employee competencies, create training plans, and proactively anticipate future maintenance requirements.
  • Project Planning - Utilize project management methodologies to oversee equipment repairs and projects. Coordinate with contractors and ensure project alignment with company standards.
  • Purchasing - Collaborate with the Purchasing department for necessary repairs. Efficiently manage quote processes and purchase orders.
  • Plant Operations - Monitor daily plant performance and coordinate technicians to minimize disruptions.
  • Performance Measurement - Analyze Key Performance Indicators to drive improvements in departmental and equipment performance. Maintain control over maintenance, repair, and operations costs and utility expenses.
  • Inventory Management - Effectively manage spare parts inventory and identify critical components for stocking.
  • Quality - Ensure adherence to maintenance requirements and standards. Focus on scheduling, preventive maintenance management, documentation, KPI measurement, and continuous improvement.

This role also encompasses overseeing the repair and maintenance of powered motor vehicles and actively participating in site leadership and decision-making processes.

Pay Transparency
