Job Title: Contracts Manager

At Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. (SEARCH), we are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position based out of one of our SEARCH office locations, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing existing and new corporate contracts and agreements, refining and maintaining the corporate contracts and agreements master list, and serving as a contractual point of contact for clients, management, and project managers. This role will also involve reviewing and analyzing new corporate contracts and agreements, providing recommended changes and updates to management, and modifying and negotiating new contracts and agreements on behalf of management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage existing and new corporate contracts and agreements
  • Refine and maintain the corporate contracts and agreements master list
  • Serve as a contractual point of contact for clients, management, and project managers
  • Review and analyze new corporate contracts and agreements
  • Provide recommended changes and updates to management
  • Modify and negotiate new contracts and agreements on behalf of management
  • Monitor and manage contract and agreement timelines, budget estimate sheets, and contract reporting requirements
  • Oversee new contract and agreement execution and contract close-out procedures
  • Provide contract and agreement information and specifications to project managers, proposal developers, and management
  • Provide contract/teaming narratives and data applicable for marketing, proposals, and data calls
  • Provide support and training to project managers and principal investigators in regard to contracts
  • Identify and independently resolve complex problems related to contract language, procedures, and practices
  • Comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR supplements, and other Government contracting issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, or related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience as a Contract Manager
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal contracting, the FAR, and Department of Defense (DOD) contracting principles
  • Ability to travel, when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • J.D. or Master's degree in Business, Business Management, or related field
  • Specialized training in Business Management, Contract Management, and/or relevant topics
  • Specialized training and/or experience with Federal and State contracts and Corporate Agreements
  • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry
