Job Summary

Mercy Systems is seeking a highly skilled Principal Contracts Manager to join our team in support of our Integrated Processing Solutions. As a key member of our contracting team, you will be responsible for providing professional contract management services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage program and project contracts, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced contract personnel to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Review and approve contractual documents, including solicitations and proposals, to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate complex agreements, including master agreements, to protect the company's interests.
  • Develop and recommend negotiation strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Advise management and program teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
  • Maintain deadlines for internal and external customer requests, as well as contractual historical data.
  • Analyze and track contract compliance in conjunction with other functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of directly related experience in contract administration, business management, or finance, with direct government defense or prime customers.
  • Experience with USG, prime, and commercial contracts, including standard defense contract types.
  • Familiarity with US government regulations (FAR/DFARS) and acquisitions governed by Part 12 and Part 15.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance, Secret or higher, within 1 year of employment.
  • US citizenship required.
