Key Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development
    • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for student residential staff, including orientation, training, and ongoing professional development.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director to develop and implement training strategies that align with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Develop and implement assessment tools and methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and residential life initiatives.
    • Collect and analyze data to inform program development and improvement.
  • Program Management
    • Manage and coordinate training programs, including logistics, scheduling, and communication with staff and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments and units to ensure alignment and coordination of training efforts.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with student residential staff, faculty, and staff across the university.
    • Communicate training program information and updates to stakeholders, including staff, students, and parents.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 5-7 years of experience in training and development, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to design and deliver training programs.
    • Experience with assessment and evaluation methods.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of best practices in training and development.
