Clinical Nurse Specialist

Location: Specialist Office

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience

Proficient in one of the following areas: ICU/CCU, Radiology, Ambulatory Surgical, Interventional/Vascular Access, or Cardiac Cath Lab

Exceptional IV skills

CERTIFICATIONS:
ACLS certification required

Bachelor's Degree is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Specialist encompass the following:

- Deliver direct nursing care before, during, and after procedures

- Initiate IVs and administer medications for light sedation

- Gather patient medical histories and review procedural details

- Conduct patient assessments

- Educate patients regarding post-procedure care

- Monitor patient conditions throughout the procedural phases, including those receiving moderate sedation and contrast

- Complete comprehensive patient documentation

- Ensure all written orders, consents, and laboratory work are finalized

- Provide direct assistance to physicians during procedures while maintaining sterile techniques.
