Job Summary

Moran Environmental Recovery is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Field Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Field Technician, you will be responsible for executing field work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects while ensuring strict compliance with corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Work Execution: Perform field work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects under direct or indirect supervision.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete all job-specific paperwork, including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver's Logs, and Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms.
  • Project Scope Understanding: Work within project scope to maintain compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Safety Protocols: Work safely during all phases of performing job duties in the field.
  • Physical Demands: Perform work in areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for extended periods.
  • Communication and Compliance: Follow directions, read and speak English, and understand common danger placards, labels, and hazardous warning literature, including site safety plans.
  • Vehicle Safety: Safely drive and perform safety checks on all vehicles for which licensed.
  • Travel and Work Environment: Project work may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more, and work outside year-round in all types of weather.
  • Physical Extremes: Work in environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, and dangerous equipment.
  • Physical Activities: Perform varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes, such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Personal Grooming: Maintain a clean shave at all times to allow immediate donning and sealing of respirators.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills).
  • Experience: Experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction, and/or industrial cleaning is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, TWIC preferred, OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER & Confined Space Entry certifications desired but not required.
  • Background and Substance Screening: Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process, including employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search.
