  • Separation and Packaging: Safely separate, sort, and pack hazardous materials for transport and treatment, adhering to our strict practices and procedures.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all required paperwork accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the shift, promoting a safe and healthy workspace.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to established safety protocols for assigned tasks, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and colleagues.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, with precision and care.
  • Communication and Literacy: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear company-provided PPE, including eye protection, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move or lift 50 pounds with the use of equipment if needed, demonstrating physical stamina and endurance.
  • Procedure Adherence: Ability to follow written or verbal procedures consistently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Overtime and Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and hazardous materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Operational Experience: Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift, with a safe driving record.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations, with the ability to apply knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Chemical Knowledge: Basic chemistry knowledge, with the ability to apply principles in a real-world context.
