Lobby Operations Assistant

Job Summary
The Lobby Operations Assistant will be responsible for a range of tasks to ensure the effective functioning of the Clubhouse facilities and lobby area during scheduled program hours. This position entails managing building security, overseeing traffic flow, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our rental groups. The Assistant will also support the Lobby Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Clubhouse Director with various administrative and operational duties.
Job Requirements
While full vaccination against COVID-19 is not mandatory for frontline employees, BCNY strongly encourages all staff to be vaccinated and receive booster shots.
Responsibilities
- Manage building security, traffic flow, emergency response, and the safety of rental groups.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the building before and after rental events.
- Prepare rental spaces in accordance with the requests of renters, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Engage positively with rental staff to ensure the safety of all individuals in the lobby, gym, pool, locker rooms, and other areas.
- Monitor all utilized areas, including entry and exit points.
- Secure the lobby area and guide parents to designated waiting areas.
- Supervise the departure of rental members under 12 with authorized adults.
- Track the ratio of rental staff to members in each area hourly.
- Monitor pool water chemical readings bi-hourly and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
- Assist the Lobby Supervisor with administrative tasks as needed.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address inappropriate conduct when necessary.
- Participate in mandatory professional development training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in Front Desk operations and working with youth.
- Proven organizational and leadership skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
