Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor is accountable for orchestrating and directing operational activities to enhance productivity and efficiency across the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Front Office leadership in managing daily operations while collaborating with other departments such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the lobby to assist front desk personnel and guests.
  • Provide comprehensive shift coverage for Food & Beverage operations as required.
  • Oversee the balance of room type inventory to optimize occupancy.
  • Ensure all areas, including the lobby and Food & Beverage operations, meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
  • Monitor and implement the upsell program effectively.
  • Address special guest requests and resolve customer complaints during shifts.
  • Perform various front desk duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Investigate and manage complaints, disturbances, and emergencies during shifts.
  • Administer employee payroll, track attendance, and manage overtime requests.
  • Coach and train hourly associates, providing guidance and discipline as necessary.
  • Conduct Night Audit functions and generate related reports.
  • Prepare and distribute required reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings aimed at fostering positive employee relations and enhancing morale.
  • Participate in management on duty coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, or a 2-year college degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a 4-year degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows and company-approved software applications.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Capable of performing sedentary tasks and lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong listening skills to address concerns from employees and guests effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Comply with company policies and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Salary up to $75,000.
  • Knowledge of Fosse is a plus.
