Our Industrial team is part of the Global Private Equity segment and primarily invests equity capital from our flagship Carlyle Partners funds in buyout and growth opportunities.
We have deployed over $35 billion in capital across more than 120 transactions.
Our team has completed some of the firm's largest and most successful investments, including Duravant, Asplundh, Nouryon, Atotech, and Worldpac.
We have consistently robust deal flow and strong continuity among team members.
We invest across business cycles and end markets, including Capital Goods, Business and Industrial Services, Chemicals, and Distribution.
With a flexible mandate, investments range from minority to majority deals and across various growth stages.
We have a successful history with corporate carve-out transactions from larger corporations, which account for nearly two-thirds of equity invested.
We excel in driving performance through multiple levers of value creation, including international expansion, new product development, M&A, and strategic positioning strategies.
ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President will work actively with other investment professionals to identify, assess, and execute buyout transaction opportunities in the Industrial sector.
The hire will take extensive responsibilities in all aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead evaluation and execution of LBO transactions reporting to Managing Directors and Principals
- Distill and present diligence findings, financial models, valuation, and returns to the Investment Committee
- Determine appropriate valuations, legal/tax structures, and optimal capital structures
- Negotiate transaction agreements and financing documents
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement and value creation
- Post-investment portfolio company monitoring, including evaluating company performance and working with company management on strategic initiatives
We seek candidates with at least two to three years of post-MBA private equity experience.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in our core sectors.
Candidates must enjoy working in teams, possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must be willing to relocate to Washington, DC.
Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $250,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package.
The hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program.
