Production Planning Manager

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to champion short-range and long-range plant production planning and inventory management. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure finished product availability, meeting customer demand while maintaining warehouse inventories within acceptable levels.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and plan production effectively, incorporating inventory levels, production quantities, logistics, safety stock, forecasting data, and scheduled maintenance
- Prepare finite production schedules to the SKU level of detail by shift, day, and week, balancing processing volumes to packing volumes by product type within the existing capability of the plant
- Enter the weekly master production plan (MPP) into SAP, adjusting as needed per day
- Participate in weekly maintenance planning meetings and daily operating review meetings to align on the production schedule, planned downtime, and customer service considerations
- Manage the coordination of all packing supplies and promotional activities, factoring in lead time, transportation, and supply chain constraints on key performance measures such as fill rate levels
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 5+ years of leadership experience within supply chain planning, logistics planning, or production planning in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment
