Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented students to join our team as Event Support Specialists at the LaSells Stewart Center. As an Event Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of various events, including lectures, musical performances, and traveling shows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and tear down event spaces, including tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment
  • Assist with technical issues and operate audio-visual equipment, including computers, projectors, and sound systems
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to event clients and attendees
  • Work collaboratively with the LaSells Center team to ensure smooth event execution
Requirements
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements and be eligible for employment
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 50lbs regularly
  • Must be a prompt and reliable individual available to work some mornings, nights, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating audio-visual equipment and providing technical support
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse groups
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to learn new software
  • Willingness to learn and take direction, as well as work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

As an Event Support Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying schedules and event types. You may be required to work in confined and/or crowded areas, and be exposed to loud noises, flashing or bright lights.
