Job Summary

The City of Corvallis, OR is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment and selection strategies to attract top talent and build a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment and selection strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure accurate job descriptions and hiring requirements
  • Source and develop job announcements and other advertising materials
  • Coordinate and attend in-person and virtual career fairs and other recruiting events
  • Utilize a variety of resources and tools to source, develop, and maintain an effective network of talent
  • Ensure recruiting and hiring practices reach diverse populations
  • Act as the primary contact for applicant inquiries and troubleshoot application submission issues
  • Manage and track the recruitment and onboarding lifecycle, including applicant data, requisitions, applications, and new hire tasks and paperwork
  • Provide support and training to hiring managers and interview panel participants
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding program
Requirements
  • Associate's degree with major course work in human resources, public administration, organizational development, or a related field
  • Three years of professional human resource experience in sourcing, recruiting, and selection
  • Three years of computer experience in using HR Management Software (Recruitment or Onboarding) and in proficiently using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment
  • Ability to prepare and maintain confidential, technical, and statistical records and reports
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply pertinent laws, rules, regulations, standards, and procedures
