Position Overview:
The Human Resources department plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our organization. This position involves welcoming both internal and external guests, managing employee benefits programs, facilitating enrollments, and addressing inquiries and issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support associates with their requests and provide timely responses to their inquiries.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for both management and non-management positions, guiding the management team in effective interviewing techniques to ensure the selection of qualified candidates.
  • Maintain and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other communication channels as necessary.
  • Distribute paychecks and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Explain various benefits to associates and assist with enrollment and claims processing.
  • Organize associate recognition events and programs.
  • Process benefits enrollments electronically as required.
  • Monitor job requisitions and communicate openings internally and externally in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinate pre-selection activities, including drug testing and reference checks, to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Handle transfer requests promptly and respond to interviewed applicants within the required timeframe.
  • Assist in achieving the goals outlined in the hotel’s Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Administer wages and benefits accurately, analyzing information from reports and systems.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence and maintain applicant flow logs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment eligibility verification for all new hires and existing associates.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing, safety programs, and labor relations.
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop staff.
  • Effective organizational skills to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills for clear and concise documentation.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
