Your Role as a General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated General Accountant to join our General Accounting team. In this role, you will provide essential support in various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monthly closing process, including the preparation of month-end schedules, reconciliations, and closing entries.
  • Prepare and upload daily journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis of corporate overhead expenditures against budget and report findings to management.
  • Reconcile complex cash accounts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support banking activities, including transactional reporting and daily cash journal entries.
  • Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Manage Fixed Asset reporting, tracking costs for purchases and ongoing capital projects.
  • Provide general support for miscellaneous ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • Experience with large ERP systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated and a proactive team player.

Working Conditions:

This position involves a general work environment with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and typing. The work is primarily conducted indoors, with varying conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
