Role Overview:
The HR Strategic Partner will collaborate closely with the Head of Human Resources to foster effective communication and relationships throughout the organization. This role is essential in enhancing employee morale, productivity, and retention. A keen attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of human resources functions, from recruitment to onboarding and compensation management, are vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Human Resources to manage the annual Open Enrollment process.
- Oversee payroll processing for a workforce of 200 employees.
- Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure timely submission of monthly bill reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on key employee metrics.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies and procedures.
- Participate in the annual review of Company Benefit Offerings and provide recommendations for the benefits plan options.
- Administer all employee benefit programs, including management of the 401(k) plan, health benefits, COBRA, and ACA compliance.
- Support the administration of the annual Professional Development Process, assisting managers and staff with inquiries regarding timing and expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date organizational charts, employee policies, and job descriptions.
- Ensure accurate reporting of all benefit elections in the HRIS system.
- Stay informed about changes in federal, state, and local employment laws, proposing necessary policy updates to the HR Director.
- Uphold a high level of integrity and confidentiality concerning all employee information.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, including the creation of offer letters and ensuring new hires have the necessary resources.
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive employee records.
- Act as the liaison for the Company's Culture Committee, leading the organization of staff events and appreciation initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing context.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
- Strong background in compliance and policy development.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Experience in benefits administration and 401(k) compliance.
- Proven ability to establish effective working relationships across the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
- Experience with ADP systems.
- Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
