The Electrical Project Supervisor is responsible for the effective management of electrical construction projects, ensuring that all operations are conducted with a focus on safety, profitability, and quality.

This role demands a meticulous professional who can navigate the complexities of project management in the electrical sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and contractual obligations.
  • Manage comprehensive project documentation, including submittals, requests for information, addendums, and change orders.
  • Evaluate client contracts and provide feedback for approval by senior management.
  • Maintain up-to-date project drawings and specifications for both field and office personnel.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of project submittals, including those from subcontractors.
  • Prepare and manage change orders for work outside the original contract scope.
  • Conduct project closeout processes, including the delivery of completion documentation and manuals.
  • Update warranty logs as necessary.
  • Facilitate and document various meetings with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and project standards.
  • Develop and implement project-specific safety plans in collaboration with the Safety Department.
  • Contribute to the estimating and preconstruction phases of upcoming projects.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and productivity tracking for projects.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to procure materials in alignment with project timelines.
  • Analyze project materials and practices, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the project, including documentation and billing.
  • Proactively address project concerns to mitigate risks and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Engage professionally with clients, contractors, and construction managers to foster strong working relationships.
  • Support field personnel with technical assistance and collaboration.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate tracking of team members' time and payroll information.
  • Utilize various software tools for project management and documentation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Familiarity with ConEst, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Industry Experience:
At least 10 years of project management experience on large-scale projects.

Estimating Experience:
Proven experience in preparing and analyzing electrical estimates.

People Management Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
