GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The Construction Site Supervisor role is a hands-on position. You will not only oversee the job site, ensuring that tasks assigned to carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors are executed effectively, but you will also engage in many of the essential job functions alongside your team. The site supervisor collaborates directly with our production and administrative teams, as well as with project architects and designers, to create exceptional projects. They represent Hurst Construction on-site and play a vital role in shaping the customer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interpret sketches, blueprints, and specifications to fully grasp the project scope.
  • Lead by example and guide a labor team of 1 - 4 members through all project phases, from demolition to finish carpentry.
  • Ensure a clean, secure, and safe work environment.
  • Utilize project management software to track and document project progress.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to uphold the project timeline, manage material orders, subcontractor schedules, and change orders.
  • Supervise the work of all trades on-site to maintain the company's quality standards.
  • Provide effective solutions to challenges and issues that arise during the project.
  • Commit to meticulous attention to detail in all project finishes to exceed the expectations of the design team and clients.
  • Perform other construction-related tasks as necessary to meet client and business needs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years preferred (minimum of 3+ years) of experience in general contracting or construction.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for rough and finish carpentry.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Experience in framing, trim carpentry, concrete work, drywall, painting, and basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
  • Familiarity with web-based construction management software is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Additional experience in heavy machinery, cabinetry, architecture, and design is welcome.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

COMPENSATION:
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Hourly pay ranges from $29 to $35, based on experience.
