Senior Electrical Project Leader

Interview Process: The process will involve two surveys, one lasting approximately 10 minutes and the other around 40 minutes. Following this, there will be a virtual interview with the owner and potentially the manager, followed by an interview with the department manager to finalize the decision.

Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Project Manager is accountable for the comprehensive management and strategic direction of electrical projects. This includes planning, budgeting, cost estimation, scheduling, and overseeing the operational execution of electrical construction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and allocate resources for electrical construction projects.
- Ensure project completion is achieved safely, profitably, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality, in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee all project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain and document all change orders, including drawing control logs.
- Prepare necessary logs and documentation for construction meetings.
- Create job-specific cost codes.
- Responsible for forecasting, budget formulation, productivity monitoring, and daily reporting.
- Manage schedules for materials, subcontractors, and labor.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance.
- Approve and track time effectively.
- Ensure adherence to project control plans.
- Engage with owners, contractors, and construction managers to monitor project progress.
- Prepare price change orders and project documentation.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued between $10 million and $100 million, along with electrical estimating experience.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Familiarity with ConEst, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, or similar estimating or BIM software is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently or collaboratively, think creatively and analytically, and make prompt, sound decisions. Experience in new construction projects, whether active or existing, is crucial.
