The Senior Sales Manager is a senior management professional responsible for leading a team of employees, growing sales and client base in coordination with the consumer sales team. The overall objective of this role is to lead a team to grow sales, build customer loyalty, and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives.

Key responsibilities include developing sales plans, driving individual production goals, building referral networks, and relationships with internal partners and external contacts. The Senior Sales Manager will also create an environment through activity-based coaching and performance development, implement coaching plans to develop employees' skill sets, and achieve personal/branch goals.

The Senior Sales Manager will develop and execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies aligned with the Retail Bank's priorities. They will execute business plans to achieve expected goals in all business categories, support portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase client acquisition, and ensure clients receive optimal service.

The Senior Sales Manager will leverage workforce planning tools to optimize staffing in branches, set expectations for branch staff, and foster an environment where team members work together to achieve all business goals. They will also integrate segment partners, partner with Assistant Managers, and partner with the Division Operations to drive sales and drive outbound sales activities.

Additionally, the Senior Sales Manager will investigate controllable losses among branch staff, provide coaching, and manage performance on decisions used. They will lead the hiring process, coordinate performance management, compensation, communication, and employee evaluation of branch staff, and be responsible for planning, budgeting, and policy formulation.

Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, the Senior Sales Manager will demonstrate particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Previous experience in banking or the financial industry is preferred, as well as sales management experience. The Senior Sales Manager must be registered or willing to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is also required.
