The Manager of Fund Accounting will oversee all financial operations related to designated funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the closing process and provide financial reports to investors on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams including Deal Team, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Property personnel to ensure thorough accounting for assigned funds.
  • Oversee and audit the general ledger for multiple fund entities.
  • Track cash balances and conduct weekly and monthly bank statement reconciliations.
  • Prepare and assess quarterly financial reporting packages.
  • Lead the quarterly closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries.
  • Generate and evaluate quarterly and annual financial statements, capital statements, distribution notices, and work papers for internal review.
  • Calculate and validate capital calls, distributions, and management fees.
  • Execute IRR and waterfall calculations.
  • Address all investor-level inquiries.
  • Serve as a primary contact during annual audits, ensuring timely submission of necessary documentation and responding to inquiries as required.
  • Guide and mentor fund accounting staff to enhance their performance and professional growth.
  • Conduct and review ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting.
  • Experience in the financial services or real estate sector is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent analytical and accounting capabilities.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with Investran is advantageous.
  • Experience with general ledger and financial statements is essential.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
