Business Manager - University Printing

SUMMARY: This role is pivotal within the University Printing & Mail Services department, reporting directly to the Director. The incumbent will be a key contributor to the UPM team.

This position acts as a knowledgeable financial and administrative advisor for University Printing, Mail Services, Convenience Copy, Postal & Passport Services, and two on-campus branch locations.

The role encompasses support for fiscal operations, which includes, but is not limited to, budget oversight, financial strategy, evaluation of service center pricing structures, inventory management, and various accounting functions as directed by the Director.

Additionally, this position will assist with human resources tasks and provide leadership and development, along with administrative enhancements, policy formulation, and budget planning across all sectors within UPM.

The individual will oversee the daily activities of office personnel in specific areas such as order processing, procurement, job costing, payroll management, and accounts payable and receivable.

Familiarity with time collection and payroll systems is essential for processing payroll and managing leave requests. The ability to reconcile monthly departmental accounts for chargeback purposes is also required. Responsibilities include data entry for accounting, cash handling, deposits, and invoicing.



Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience in accounting or finance, including accounts payable/receivable, ledgers, cash handling, deposits, payroll, and tax reporting.
Prior supervisory or management experience is necessary.
Preferred knowledge of the university's SAP accounting system and relevant policies and procedures.
Experience at the administrator level with EFI Monarch is advantageous.
Familiarity with copier rental and procurement programs is preferred.
Experience in print estimation and billing is also desirable.
