Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounting department's operations, establishing an effective organizational structure to meet departmental objectives.
  • Manage the collection and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate reporting of business results.
  • Prepare and coordinate internal and external financial statements.
  • Facilitate the activities of external auditors and the preparation of annual audit documentation.
  • Oversee the development and consolidation of the annual budget.
  • Lead the financial forecasting process, providing insights based on historical data and expected business developments, while monitoring and analyzing results.
  • Conduct financial analyses as required, particularly for capital investments, pricing strategies, cost evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare daily performance analyses, including inventory movements, sales, and cost of goods sold, to identify significant issues promptly.
  • Perform monthly inventory valuations and reconcile cost ledgers.
  • Develop and maintain financial cost reports to clarify standard and gross margin analyses and variances from planned results.
  • Process operational CAPEX requests, tracking expenditures and capitalizing assets as necessary.
  • Act as the finance lead for annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts, collaborating with operational resources to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage, train, and develop accounting personnel.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for business initiatives and projects, assessing financial implications.
  • Support senior management with strategic planning and analysis, identifying opportunities to enhance financial performance and foster business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • At least 4 years of experience in Operational/Cost accounting is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor, for a minimum of 4 years.
