Business Manager - University Printing

SUMMARY: This role is pivotal within the University Printing & Mail Services team, reporting directly to the Director. The individual will act as a key financial and administrative expert for various services including University Printing, Mail Services, Convenience Copy, Postal & Passport Services, along with two branch locations on campus.

The position entails supporting financial operations, which encompasses oversight of budgets, financial forecasting, evaluation of service center pricing structures, inventory management, and other accounting functions as delegated by the Director.

Additionally, this role will assist with human resources functions, providing guidance and fostering development while implementing administrative enhancements, policies, and budget strategies across all UPM sectors.

Key responsibilities include supervising daily office operations across specific areas such as order processing, procurement, job costing, payroll management, and accounts payable/receivable. Proficiency in time collection and payroll systems is essential for processing payroll and managing leave requests. The ability to reconcile monthly departmental accounts for chargeback purposes, along with data entry for accounting, cash handling, deposits, and invoicing, is also required.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
Experience in accounting or finance is required, including accounts payable/receivable, ledgers, cash handling, deposits, payroll, and tax reporting.
Previous supervisory or management experience is essential.
Familiarity with the university's SAP accounting system and institutional policies is preferred.
Experience at the administrator level with EFI Monarch is advantageous.
Experience with copier rental and procurement programs is desirable.
Experience in print estimation and billing is a plus.
