Position: Lead Systems Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Role Summary:
- GTT, LLC is in search of a Lead Systems Engineer to enhance our Whole Life Systems Engineering team.
- The Lead Systems Engineer will conduct specialized engineering assessments on products, which may encompass logistics support evaluations, obsolescence assessments, and reliability studies.
- This role involves shaping the systems' design and architecture, ensuring a balance between performance, safety, maintainability, supportability, testability, and cost considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
- The Whole Life Engineering function is integral to systems engineering activities, including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition, interface specification, and validation and verification of requirements.
- As a Whole Life Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and continuity in the design and development process.
- Team members can expect a dynamic environment that prioritizes discipline, process adherence, and delivering value to our clients through our specialized skills.
- Candidates should be prepared to work onsite regularly, with remote options available under specific conditions.
- This position supports multiple programs within a matrix management framework as directed.
- Key deliverables include but are not limited to obsolescence management, logistics development plans, supportability analysis, reliability assessments, and technical documentation.
- The role requires proficiency in core systems engineering tasks alongside specialized responsibilities as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in Parts Obsolescence management and DMSMS analysis per DoD SD-22.
- Ability to analyze technical data to formulate lifecycle management recommendations.
- Familiarity with statistical theory and modeling.
- Experience in reliability modeling and prediction in accordance with relevant industry standards.
- Capability to produce required analyses, including FMECA, FTA, and RCM.
- Experience in requirements development and hardware/software verification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with product design processes.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant military standards and regulations.
- Experience with government airworthiness processes and certification boards.
- Experience in proposal development and estimation.
- Expertise in multiple Systems Specialty areas.
- Proficiency with tools such as DOORS and Cameo.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- A Master's degree may substitute for two years of engineering experience.
