Position Overview:

The Lead Whole Life Systems Engineer will engage in specialized engineering evaluations on products, encompassing logistics support analysis, obsolescence management, and reliability assessments. In this capacity, you will shape the systems' design and architecture, ensuring a balance between performance, safety, maintainability, supportability, testability, and cost-effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support systems engineering activities including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition, interface definition, and validation of requirements.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to guarantee integration and continuity in the design and development process.
  • Contribute as a vital member of the Engineering Team, navigating a dynamic environment that prioritizes discipline, process adherence, and value addition for our clients.
  • Deliverables will encompass obsolescence management, logistics development plans, supportability analysis, reliability, maintainability, and availability analysis, as well as technical documentation and training materials.
  • Perform essential systems engineering tasks alongside specialized functions as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience in parts obsolescence management, including DMSMS analysis in accordance with DoD SD-22.
  • Proficient in analyzing technical data to formulate lifecycle management recommendations.
  • Familiarity with statistical theory and modeling.
  • Knowledge of reliability modeling and prediction standards.
  • Ability to conduct various DoD-required analyses, including FMECA, FTA, reliability modeling, and supportability analysis.
  • Experience in requirements development and hardware/software verification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management capabilities.
  • Experience in product design and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with relevant military standards and regulations.
  • Experience with U.S. Government airworthiness processes and certification boards.
  • Proficiency in developing proposals and basis of estimates.
  • Experience in multiple systems specialty areas such as reliability and safety.
  • Familiarity with DOORS and Cameo.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field may be considered equivalent to 2 years of engineering experience.
