Position Overview:
As a Professional Paint Specialist at Behr, you will operate within a Home Depot environment, acting as a sales authority for professional painting contractors and their unique needs. You will work both independently and collaboratively with the Pro Desk team to build and maintain relationships with local professionals who rely on Behr for superior products and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include connecting with professionals in-store, who may be seeking paint but likely require additional supplies. When an external representative refers a contractor to you, your goal will be to ensure a smooth experience by assisting them in selecting appropriate products, preparing paint, gathering necessary tools, and facilitating a quick and efficient process so they can return to their work without delay. Your objective is to deliver a premium shopping experience for our professional clientele.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An engaging personality: Interact with contractors at the Home Depot Pro Desk, understand their businesses and requirements, and maintain these relationships by following up on their projects and future needs.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate closely with Behr's external sales representatives, address customer inquiries in-store including order retrievals and color adjustments, and work in harmony with Home Depot staff to foster a synergistic partnership.
  • Basic computer skills: Enter all leads and contacts into Salesforce, our customer relationship management system. While training will be provided, prior computer skills are beneficial.
  • Bilingualism: While not a requirement, proficiency in a second language is advantageous, as many of our professional clients are multilingual.
