**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Hotel Sales Coordinator to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Director of Sales in all aspects of the sales process for a specific market segment(s). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and confirming new and repeat business through various efforts to maximize revenues and meet/exceed goals. This will involve developing and implementing creative sales strategies, analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trends, and maintaining accurate records and files consistent with established automated or manual sales systems.

In addition, the Hotel Sales Coordinator will be required to participate in training, trade shows, field trips, and community, industry, and professional organizations to maintain high visibility in support of the achievement of sales and revenue goals.

Requirements:

  • A two-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • One to three years of sales experience required, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Ability to perform critical analysis and manage extensive amounts of information.
  • Extensive knowledge of negotiating and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Travel may be required for meetings, training, and conferences.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team, with the ability to delegate, manage manpower, and organize complex projects and establish priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
