**Sales Administrative Assistant Opportunity**
We are seeking a skilled Sales Administrative Assistant to support our team at Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage. This role will assist the Director of Sales in planning, soliciting, booking, and coordinating group/transient sales to meet/exceed revenue and profit goals.
Responsibilities:
- Solicit and negotiate new and repeat business through various efforts, including outside sales calls, telemarketing, direct mail, referrals, and internet prospecting.
- Record, notify, and coordinate customer specifications with other departments, and respond to customer issues, comments, and problems efficiently.
- Develop and implement creative sales strategies by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trends.
- Maintain accurate, legible records and files consistent with established automated or manual sales systems.
- Participate in training, trade shows, field trips, and community, industry, and professional organizations to maintain high visibility in support of sales and revenue goals.
Requirements:
- A two-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
- One to three years of sales experience required, with hotel sales experience preferred.
- Ability to perform critical analysis, manage extensive amounts of information, and negotiate and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry.
- Excellent written skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication, and excellent spoken and presentation skills.
- Travel may be required for meetings, training, and conferences.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team, and manage multiple projects, meet, and work under time and resource constraints.
This is a full-time position with a competitive benefits package, including 401(k), dental insurance, employee discount, flexible spending account, health insurance, health savings account, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
The schedule is an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for career growth and development within the Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage team.
