A-TEK is currently seeking an Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician to provide support for our Federal Customer. In this capacity, you will act as a subject matter expert for the client's A/V technology landscape. Your responsibilities will include supporting meeting and event management through virtual communication assistance, presentation support, and equipment maintenance services. This role encompasses video and web conferencing support, hardware and software requirements, conference room reservations, room setup and breakdown, presentation assistance, and videography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist operations and support teams, including conducting root cause analysis for A/V issues in conference rooms.
  • Stay informed about technical standards and trends in the A/V and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) industries.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and user manuals.
  • Oversee and maintain all A/V technology and virtual communication equipment.
  • Set up, install, test, operate, and maintain equipment for A/V conferencing and teleconferencing needs.
  • Execute A/V system deployments, including both hardware and software components.
  • Monitor and manage conference room scheduling and reservations.
  • Inventory and maintain all A/V equipment.
  • Operate sound and visual equipment during live events.
  • Conduct maintenance activities, including inspections, service contracts, and upgrades.
  • Install video switching devices, media converters, wall monitors, and video control devices supporting A/V systems.
  • Perform health checks on conference rooms to ensure functionality.
  • Provide customer support during meetings, including video teleconferencing and presentation setups.
  • Respond to and track service request tickets.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in A/V technology.
  • Proficient in the control and integration of multi-room A/V systems.
  • Understanding of the interface between conference room A/V equipment and video teleconferencing protocols.
  • Experience with Crestron Scheduling Panels.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard video conferencing and A/V collaboration technologies.
  • Knowledge of A/V troubleshooting principles and techniques.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to navigate throughout buildings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.
  • A+ Certification.
