Job Overview

The Precision Equipment Assembler will utilize a diverse range of machinery and hand tools to execute various fabrication and assembly tasks essential for the installation, commissioning, modification, assembly, repair, and development of both advanced and standard machinery, components, gauges, adjustments, accessories, hardware, or equipment. This role entails taking ownership of the complete assembly process and project scope. You will lead the workforce and collaborate with manufacturing for repairs and training on production equipment. Additionally, you will work closely with lead engineering to enhance equipment design and functionality while adhering to systematic processes for job tracking and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tag-out procedures and comprehend safety protocols during equipment commissioning.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Understand general equipment maintenance and mechanical operations, including indexing and continuous functioning.
  • Possess sound knowledge of pneumatic systems, including diagrams and valves, and demonstrate safe practices in energy force utilization.
  • Ability to tune feed systems for optimal performance.
  • Understand Servo Motor control mechanisms and setup Servo points effectively.
  • Familiarity with proximity switches and fiber optic detectors, including setup of electronic pneumatic detectors.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and commissioning various types of assembly machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and identify discrepancies in prints, materials, and routing sheets for correction.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for equipment installation and commissioning support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Comply with all safety regulations as outlined by the company.

In this manufacturing environment, technicians will be required to use basic hand and power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical activities such as climbing, standing, and moving on stairs, ladders, and platforms. Technicians must also demonstrate skills in operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated equipment, maintaining accurate records, and possessing strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of computer systems is also essential.

Job Qualifications

All applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Be willing to wear safety equipment, including safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
Compensation
Starting Pay / Salary Range: $25-$55 per hour
