Job Overview

The Precision Equipment Assembler is responsible for utilizing a diverse range of machinery and hand tools to execute various fabrication and assembly tasks essential for the installation, commissioning, modification, and repair of both advanced and standard machinery, components, gauges, and accessories. This role encompasses the overall responsibility for the completion of machinery and project scope. The technician will lead the workforce and collaborate with manufacturing teams for repairs and training on production equipment. Additionally, the assembler will work closely with engineering teams to enhance equipment design and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tag-out procedures and comprehend safety protocols during equipment commissioning.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Understand general equipment maintenance and mechanical operations, including index and continuous functions.
  • Possess sound knowledge of pneumatic systems, including diagrams and valves, and apply safe practices in energy force utilization.
  • Capable of tuning feed systems for optimal operational performance.
  • Understand the workings of Servo Motor control and set up Servo points effectively.
  • Familiarity with proximity switches and fiber optic detectors, including setup of electronic pneumatic detectors.
  • Adept at troubleshooting and commissioning various types of assembly machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and identify discrepancies in prints, materials, and routing sheets for correction.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for equipment installation and commissioning support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations as outlined by the company.

In this manufacturing environment, technicians are expected to use basic hand and power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical activities including climbing, standing, and bending. Technicians should demonstrate skills in operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated equipment, as well as maintaining accurate records and data. Strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with computer proficiency. The safety of technicians is paramount at Procter & Gamble, and appropriate safety gear, such as safety shoes and protective eyewear, is mandatory.

Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Be willing to wear safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
Compensation
Starting Pay / Salary Range: $25-$55 per hour.
