Job Overview

The Precision Machine Assembler is responsible for utilizing a diverse range of machinery and hand tools to execute various fabrication and assembly tasks essential for the installation, commissioning, modification, and repair of both advanced and standard machinery, components, gauges, adjustments, accessories, hardware, or equipment. This role entails taking ownership of the overall completion of machinery and installations, as well as managing project scopes. The assembler will lead the workforce and collaborate with manufacturing teams for repairs and training on production equipment. Additionally, they will work closely with lead engineering for equipment design and enhancements while adhering to established systems for job tracking and documentation.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tag-out procedures and comprehend safety protocols during equipment commissioning.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Understand general equipment maintenance and mechanical operations, including indexing and continuous functions. Familiarity with CAM motions, timing, stroke adjustments, and kinematics is essential.
  • Possess sound knowledge of pneumatic schematics and valves, along with pipefitting skills and safe energy force practices.
  • Ability to tune feed systems for optimal performance.
  • Comprehend Servo Motor control mechanisms and set up Servo points effectively.
  • Knowledge of proximity switches and fiber optic detectors, including through beam and reflective setups for electronic pneumatic detectors.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and commissioning various types of assembly equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and identify any discrepancies in prints, materials, and routing sheets for correction.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for equipment installation and commissioning support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines as outlined by the company.
In order to perform the responsibilities outlined above in our manufacturing environment, technicians must be adept with basic hand and power tools; capable of lifting 50 pounds through bending and stooping; able to climb, stand, and navigate stairs, ladders, and platforms; and proficient in twisting, turning, and bending movements. They should also be able to enter confined spaces and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods. Furthermore, technicians are expected to demonstrate skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated equipment; maintaining accurate records and data; and possessing strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, along with computer literacy. The safety of technicians is of utmost importance at Procter & Gamble, and they will be required to wear appropriate safety gear, including safety shoes, ear protection, and eye protection.

Job Qualifications

To qualify for this position, all applicants must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • Be willing to wear safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
Starting Pay / Salary Range: $25-$55 per hour
