About the Role

The Federal Reserve System is seeking a highly skilled Business Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing automation solutions that streamline our day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Work closely with operational teams to identify pain points and inefficiencies
  • Participate in agile activities to drive business outcomes
  • Actively support and promote Continual Service Improvement (CSI) for the Federal Reserve Financial Services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in automation, process improvement, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to quickly gather, analyze, and synthesize information
  • Experience with scripting languages, data visualization tools, and agile software tools
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with payments systems and ISO20022 messages
  • ITIL certification and knowledge of Amazon Cloudwatch and data lake
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience consuming REST APIs from within a scripting language
