Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Leader is tasked with guiding a team of skilled sales professionals across various sales channels within a designated region. This role is pivotal in driving profitable revenue growth from an established account portfolio while also supporting the Business Development team in acquiring new clientele. The Regional Sales Leader will oversee a team of 9-12 associates, including Key Account Sales Consultants focused on mid-market to enterprise accounts, as well as Account Executives managing government accounts and vendor-managed inventory programs for cost-effective MRO items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and lead the team to surpass revenue and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager/Director to formulate strategic sales growth initiatives.
  • Transform MSC's overarching strategy into practical, actionable plans and ensure adherence to the sales process.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to foster the professional development of each team member.
  • Attract, recruit, and nurture high-performing associates to achieve and exceed company objectives.
  • Create clear development pathways for associates to help them realize their career aspirations.
  • Anticipate market changes and implement growth strategies to consistently exceed revenue goals.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic business environment while effectively communicating with team members.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to align resources with customer needs.
  • Balance MSC's interests with customer requirements, renegotiating agreements as necessary to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and HR to ensure associates meet or exceed performance standards.
  • Promote MSC's culture and mission throughout the organization to enhance associate engagement.
  • Participate in special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience with a focus on negotiation.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams to achieve sales objectives.
  • Experience managing multi-channel sales teams targeting mid-market to large customers.
