Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate and execute comprehensive credit policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective management of credit risk.
• Supervise the credit approval process, guaranteeing adherence to banking standards and regulatory mandates.
• Assess and manage the credit portfolio to maintain a balanced risk-reward dynamic.
• Conduct routine credit evaluations and stress analyses to pinpoint and alleviate potential risks.
• Oversee the resolution, liquidation, and reporting of distressed loans, ensuring timely and effective action.

Leadership and Team Development:
• Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of credit professionals, nurturing a culture of excellence and ongoing enhancement.
• Ensure the credit team is well-prepared and equipped to excel, delivering outstanding results.

Strategic Development:
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to create and implement strategic initiatives that align with the bank's objectives.
• Provide insightful recommendations on credit-related issues to the Executive Team.
• Leverage technology to streamline processes for improved efficiency, enhancing service delivery both internally and externally.

Regulatory Adherence:
• Ensure the bank's credit operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and auditors during assessments and audits.
• Participate in all necessary training and demonstrate thorough knowledge of compliance related to job responsibilities.

Reporting and Insights:
• Generate regular reports on the performance of the credit portfolio, emphasizing key metrics and trends.
• Analyze market conditions and economic trends to evaluate their effects on the bank's credit portfolio, making informed decisions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit risk management, with significant time in a senior leadership capacity.
• Extensive knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
