The Senior Credit Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing credit risk management. This position is responsible for identifying potential risks, monitoring existing loans, and formulating strategies to mitigate these risks. Additionally, the Senior Credit Portfolio Manager will underwrite and enforce credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of credit products to meet growth, profitability, and risk management objectives.
  • Analyze customer behavior and market trends to uncover opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle for assigned offerings, including design, development, pricing, promotion, and maintenance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned products, providing strategic input on features and benefits.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and compliance teams.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for assigned products, taking necessary actions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Proactively manage risks associated with assigned products, collaborating with relevant parties to implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance to senior management.
  • Complete annual training requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.

  • This position does not have management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Credit Analyst, Portfolio Manager, or Commercial Loan Officer is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of economic theory as it pertains to lending and business are essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and finance principles is required.
  • Familiarity with commercial and agricultural lending, as well as applicable banking laws and regulations, is necessary.
  • Proficient credit underwriting skills with experience in credit structuring to meet customer needs are required.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and credit information is essential.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision is required.
  • Thorough understanding of banking policies and procedures is necessary.
  • Experience with relevant software programs is required.
  • Credit Risk Certification is preferred.
