Customer Service Representative

Description:
This is a Centralized Call Center Representative representing all offices at the Michigan Institute of Urology. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to various telephone contacts, scheduling office visits and procedures, and directing patient calls.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls on patient and physician telephone lines
- Schedule new patient appointments, general office visits, office procedures, and diagnostic testing appointments
- Secure demographic information on new patients and generate EHR records via data entry on the Practice Management program
- Obtain email addresses for patients for the patient portal
- Forward messages to physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records
- Identify self-deficits and update knowledge and skills required to perform responsibilities
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience answering multi-line phone systems
- General clerical skills, including basic computer knowledge and the ability to type 50wpm
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate self-motivation and organizational abilities
Work Environment:
The Michigan Institute of Urology is a fast-paced work environment based on elective and urgent situations requiring immediate action. The successful candidate must be able to accommodate changes in the daily and weekly schedule and handle a high volume of incoming phone calls.
