Position Overview:

As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing product configurations, ensuring design integrity, maintaining product standards, and providing essential operational support. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that engineering practices adhere to the highest compliance and functionality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that all products in production meet the necessary technical specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at reducing costs by refining product designs and applying best practices.
  • Support the investigation of product failures to identify root causes and formulate effective corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing failure analyses, root cause identifications, and recommended corrective measures for products in production.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation for product features, options, and accessories.
  • Promote adherence to and the development of technical standards and resources for products.
  • Provide crucial support to Quality and Manufacturing teams in addressing order fulfillment challenges and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Offer technical guidance and validation of technical content to Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Participate in Engineering meetings with the Parent Company as necessary.
  • Collaborate proactively with the Operations team to uphold and enhance product quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in product engineering or development within a manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Best Practices (Green Belt level or higher).
  • In-depth knowledge of motors, brake motors, motor standards (UL, MG1, CSA), and the processes involved in motor design and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with other rotating equipment, such as gearboxes, is advantageous.
