Position Overview:

As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing product configuration, design control, and ensuring the continuity of product standards while providing essential operational support. Your responsibilities will guarantee that engineering principles uphold the highest standards of compliance and functionality throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that all products in production meet the necessary technical specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Engage in cost-saving initiatives by refining product designs and applying established best practices.
  • Support the investigation of product failures to identify root causes and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports on failure analysis, pinpointing root causes and suggesting corrective measures for products in production.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation for product features, options, and accessories.
  • Promote adherence to and the development of product technical standards and resources.
  • Provide vital support to Quality and Manufacturing teams in addressing order fulfillment challenges and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Offer technical insights and verification of technical content to Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Participate in Engineering meetings with the Parent Company as necessary.
  • Collaborate proactively with the Operations team to uphold and enhance product quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in product engineering or product development within a manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Best Practices (Green Belt level or higher).
  • In-depth knowledge of motors, brake motors, motor standards (UL, MG1, CSA), and motor design and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with other rotating equipment, such as gearboxes, is advantageous.
