Position: Environmental Construction Inspector IIKey Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections of construction sites to monitor adherence to Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
- Establishing effective communication with contractors, developers, and builders to promote compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborating with various departments, including Public Works and Development and Permits, to ensure seamless enforcement of environmental ordinances.
- Responding to community concerns regarding environmental violations and taking appropriate action.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to erosion and sediment control inspections and SWPPP compliance.
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: An Associate's degree, vocational technical degree, or equivalent experience in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of relevant full-time experience in the field.
Certifications: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record as per City standards; certification as a Dual Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Inspector is required within one year of employment.
Special Requirements: Employees may be required to work beyond regular hours to meet departmental needs and respond to emergencies.
