Position: Production Operations Supervisor
Summary:
Oversees and manages production activities through subordinate supervisory staff, leveraging expertise in technology, methodologies, and the skills of the existing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with management to set production and quality benchmarks, develop financial plans, and gather information regarding product specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
• Designs and executes operational methods and procedures aimed at resolving production challenges and enhancing product quality.
• Adjusts production timelines and priorities in response to operational issues.
• Works alongside engineering teams to modify machinery and equipment to boost production efficiency and product quality.
• Facilitates discussions to address grievances and escalates unresolved issues for management-union negotiations.
• May collect, organize, and access production data using computer systems.
• Fosters strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Engages with other management personnel to discuss project completion levels, expectations, timelines, budget compliance, and necessary adjustments.
• Regularly lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds and seeks assistance for heavier loads.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Must be capable of enduring environmental conditions such as:
o Outdoor weather elements
o Elevated and unstable locations
o Exposure to fumes and airborne particles
o High noise levels
• Required to sit, manipulate objects with hands, and reach with arms consistently.
• Occasionally engages in other physical activities as necessary, including:
o Stooping
o Bending
o Squatting
o Climbing (including but not limited to vertical and inclined ladders, masts, and king posts)
o Crawling (including but not limited to navigating through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)
Experience Requirements:
• 5 – 7 years of experience in diving, fabrication, installation, repair, operation, hyperbaric, and life support systems design.
Other Requirements:
• Must successfully pass Drug Screening and Work Ability Screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Government facility security pass.
