Summary of Position:

Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of public areas within the hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This role involves various janitorial tasks to support the Housekeeping Department.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways and public spaces.
  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.

Meet established standards for cleanliness and service quality. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability in various situations. Take initiative in maintaining the property and addressing guest needs.

Essential Duties:
  • Clean and maintain entry floors and glass doors.
  • Dust and sanitize baseboards and vents.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles.
  • Vacuum and clean carpets in hallways and stairwells.
  • Ensure elevators and common areas are kept tidy.
  • Support housekeeping staff by retrieving dirty linens and maintaining supply closets.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving furniture as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

Must align with the core values of the organization. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively is essential.


Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Team members must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Work Environment:

Team members may encounter a noisy atmosphere and exposure to various environmental factors while performing their duties.
