Position Overview:
The Rehabilitation Director is responsible for overseeing the management and operation of multiple contract sites and the personnel involved in delivering therapy services. This role includes managing a patient caseload within the respective discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
Ensure that patient treatment constitutes at least 60% of total working hours.

Communication:
Assist the Regional Director in enhancing community awareness of therapy services both internally and externally. Build and maintain strong relationships with facility administrators and staff. Demonstrate effective communication skills to resolve specific issues through oral, written, and non-verbal communication. Engage in bi-weekly discussions with the Regional Director regarding staffing needs, productivity, and personnel matters.

Coordinate timely orientation for new associates, covering both MJ Care, Inc. and facility-specific orientation topics.

Lead weekly department meetings to foster collaboration and communication.

Staffing and Recruitment:
Consult with the Regional Director on salary parameters for new and existing staff. Provide justification for staffing needs across all disciplines. Regularly update the Regional Director on staffing requirements.

Support the Regional Director in the recruitment process for rehabilitation staff, including orientation, training, competency assessments, and ongoing education for new associates.

Assign and schedule team members for home health services based on patient requirements.

Mentoring and Support:
Recognize and provide constructive feedback to all rehabilitation staff to promote professional growth.

Performance Evaluation:
Conduct evaluations of rehabilitation staff performance in collaboration with the Regional Director and consultants. Ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete.

Financial Oversight:
Assist in budget development and monitor productivity within the facility. Oversee the utilization of departmental resources, including professional and support staff and equipment. Review and approve timesheets for accuracy and authorize overtime as necessary.

Compliance and Security:
Safeguard access to Personal Health Information related to patients receiving evaluations, screenings, consultations, and therapy services within the assigned facilities.

Program Development:
Engage in the creation and implementation of facility policies, plans, and programs. Actively participate in discussions with the Regional Director to enhance therapy services. Attend state and national conferences to network and promote MJ Care, Inc. as a leader in clinical techniques.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Therapist program is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PT, OTR, SLP, COTA, or PTA, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Business management experience is preferred.

Licensure:
Must meet individual state licensure requirements. For OTR/COTA, NBCOT certification is mandatory.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
Ability to perform light repetitive tasks and effectively treat patients or assist in emergencies. Must possess good problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
