Position Overview:
The Rehab Director PTA is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple contract sites and managing personnel involved in patient care. This role entails a significant patient caseload within the respective discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Ensure that at least 60% of work hours are dedicated to patient treatment.

Communication:
Assist the Regional Director in enhancing community awareness of therapy services both internally and externally. Build and maintain relationships with facility administrators and staff. Demonstrate effective communication skills to resolve issues through oral, written, and non-verbal methods. Maintain bi-weekly communication with the Regional Director to discuss staffing requirements, productivity, and personnel matters.

Coordinate timely orientation for new associates, including both MJ Care, Inc. and facility-specific orientation topics.

Lead weekly department meetings.

Staffing and Hiring:
Consult with the Regional Director regarding salary constraints for new and existing staff. Provide justification for staffing needs across all disciplines. Regularly update the Regional Director on staffing requirements.

Assist in the recruitment process for rehabilitation staff, including their orientation, training, competency evaluation, and ongoing education.

Assign and schedule team members for home health services based on patient requirements.

Coaching and Mentoring:
Recognize and support rehabilitation staff, providing constructive feedback as necessary.

Staff Evaluation:
Conduct performance evaluations for all rehabilitation staff with input from the Regional Director and consultants. Ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete.

Financial Oversight:
Contribute to budget development and analyze productivity within the facility. Monitor the utilization of departmental resources, including professional and support staff, equipment, etc. Review and approve timesheets for accuracy and authorize overtime as needed.

Compliance and Program Development:
Participate in the creation and implementation of facility policies, plans, and programs. Engage in discussions with the Regional Director to enhance therapy services. Attend state and national conferences to network and promote MJ Care, Inc. as a leader in clinical techniques.

Oversee the operations of the home health division, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Complete necessary duties related to assessment reporting and communication for clients.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Therapist program is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PT, OTR, SLP, COTA, or PTA, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, along with preferred experience in business management.

Licensure:
Must meet individual state requirements, including NBCOT certification for OTR/COTA.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:
Ability to perform light repetitive tasks and possess adequate sensory skills for patient treatment. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are necessary.

Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to manage emotional situations and foster a harmonious work environment, ensuring quality care is delivered.
