Position Summary:

The Corporate Accounting Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting management functions. This position involves developing internal controls and policies, preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting information across five consolidating entities. The role requires close collaboration with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to uphold accounting and financial processes that align with established standards, thereby promoting precise financial reporting and effective control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various aspects of accounting management, including billing, tax documentation, and reporting.
  • Support the accounting team in analyzing and researching accounting guidelines relevant to both new and existing business models.
  • Contribute to acquisition accounting efforts.
  • Help formulate internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with official guidelines.
  • Assist in establishing robust control systems.
  • Manage journal entries, invoices, and account reconciliations for monthly or annual closings.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare financial statements that comply with regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Engage in preparations for the annual audit.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records.
  • Review accounting information to detect and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
  • Utilize accounting IT systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or similar assistant controller roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulations.
  • Proficient understanding of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial closure, and reporting.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and Microsoft Business Central.
  • Well-organized with strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is highly preferred.
  • Professional certification (CPA) is mandatory.

Work Environment:

  • Intermittent office noise.
