Job Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is in search of a knowledgeable Senior Accounting Specialist to contribute significantly to our finance department. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a well-established, family-owned enterprise that has maintained its success for over six decades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance the general ledger by accurately posting journal entries and validating financial data integrity.
  • Conduct reconciliations of account balances, including bank statements and intercompany transactions.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing activities, which include preparing necessary adjustments, accruals, and financial statements.
  • Generate and interpret financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Assist in audit processes and fulfill other financial reporting obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost efficiency and precision in financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
