POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you seeking to enhance your expertise in Project Management? The Project Coordinator at SOFT COMPUTER CONSULTANTS plays a crucial role in providing administrative support for projects under the guidance of the PMO Manager. This position is essential for ensuring that projects are executed in alignment with established methodologies. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and assisting in the creation of essential documentation such as meeting minutes and agendas. The coordinator will also manage travel arrangements and calendars as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to the project management methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop the project plan and deliverables.
  • Contributes to the creation of the Project Charter with key stakeholders.
  • Assists in drafting the Statement of Work based on contractual agreements.
  • Supports the project manager in overseeing the Project Plan and ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Helps maintain milestones, work breakdown structures, and task trackers.
  • Assists in generating project status reports as outlined in the project charter.
  • Facilitates project planning and review meetings, engaging with staff at all levels.
  • Offers suggestions for process improvements when applicable.
  • Coordinates meetings and follows up on project-related issues that may impact timelines.
  • Assists in creating Change Orders to document project variances.
  • Researches and coordinates travel logistics as needed.
  • Complies with all established procedures and guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education Required:

An Associate Degree in Business or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional setting is required. Experience in managing calendars and travel arrangements, as well as in preparing documents, spreadsheets, and reports, is essential.

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to creatively and collaboratively solve problems is crucial.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office suite and MS Project, is required.

Travel Required:

No travel is necessary for this position.

Physical Demands:
