The Director, Patient Engagement Marketing will lead the development and execution of digital strategies to engage patients and improve their experience with our treatments. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create seamless patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute patient engagement digital strategies, including targeting, messaging, creative, and channels.
  • Partner with IT and Patient Services to select and integrate patient engagement tools into our technology stack.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and patient feedback to refine digital engagement strategies and optimize performance.
  • Own patient-facing brand development, reflecting the highly personalized support made available to patients and caregivers.
  • Oversee agency management, including maintaining relationships, monitoring performance, and driving continuous optimization of agency deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create a seamlessly integrated patient experience across all patient touchpoints.
  • Provide input to the holistic view of the patient journey, determine critical moments/barriers, and aim content at overcoming those barriers.
  • Develop and execute media plans and creative assets to create patient awareness of the patient services program, when appropriate.
  • Set goals, monitor key performance metrics, and provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Lead development of the digital patient engagement annual strategic, tactical, and operational plans, and budget.
  • Drive review of key patient engagement marketing materials through the promotional review committee approval process.
  • Work closely with legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • 6+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong understanding of digital marketing principles, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • 6+ years of people leader experience, with the ability to effectively manage and influence a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced Degree in business or marketing preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing, shaping, and optimizing the patient experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and business-partnering experience across multiple departments, external partners, customers, and patients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing.
